Pasta Fagioli

This soup is from Venetain, Italy and the name of the pasta literally means "pasta and beans". It's made with tomatoes, cannellini beans, vegetables like green peppers or broccoli, herbs, and pasta. The right pasta to use is ditalini pasta or other small pastas like elbows.


This is one of my favorite dinners because it's what my Nonna makes on a cold day and it's very light to eat. It's not a heavy soup so it's good to have often, and I usually have it with bread and butter instead of garlic bread so I can soak up the rest of the soup at the end, it's what my nonno calls "sponge it".


I love this soup so I will give it a 5/5 meatballs.
